TRAINING - Report from Chief Marsonette on 3rd quarter training September 25th, 26th and 29th on instrumentation and boot sizing.
Chairman Bailot mentioned SEMA sponsored WMD Threat & Risk Assessment training opportunities September 9-11, 2008.
INCIDENT RESPONSES-
BERKELEY - Chairman Bailot reported on a ammonia leak at Super Value Warehouse in Berkeley. Marlo was the hazmat officer on the incident and there was no call out. Leak was stopped by Berkeley Fire personnel.
HIGHWAY 370 - Chief Marsonnette was the hazmat officer and gave a report on leaking drum in a UPS box truck. The leaking product was non-hazardous.
MISC.-
COMMAND VESTS: Nothing new.
VICE-PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE - The Vice-Presidential Debate will be at Washington University on October 2nd. Three different plans are being developed according to the threat level at the time. No funding is available.
MOBILE DATA ROUTER-AIR CARDS - Have not received.
RED DRAGON - we have been informed that it will not be held in St. Louis.
HSRRS REVIEW - Bill Brandes and Steve Arnold completed the team's HSRRS review at Kirkwood Fire Department. A report will be prepared for our review.
MISC.-
The old HM-51 decon trailer, which is owned by the HMERT, in Spanish Lake will be replaced by a new unit. Chairman Bailot would like to donate the old unit for future use. HM-15, which was replaced by the new box truck, is LEPC owned and he would like to keep it as an operational unit with the HMERT.
Chief Davis is working on SCBA cylinder testing.
SPECIAL PROGRAM-
Chief Davis gave a short class on the operation of the new satellite phone system.
Channel 4 is looking for an interview with the team on the new florescent type light bulbs.
