Date: August 31, 2008 Time: 6:55 p.m. A 5 year-old girl was injured in a fire in the 11600 block of Larimore Road when she stuck a pin into an electrical outlet, causing the fire. The fire was quickly extinguished but caused extensive damage to the house. Two other children who where in the house at the time of the fire where not injured. No adult was present.

Firefighters exticated the driver of an automobile that ran off the east side of Lusher Road near Victorian Village Drive. The automobile skidded on the snow covered roads and went through several yards and down an embankment. The driver was transported to the hospital via ambulance after extrication by firefighters..
